Performance Analytics Redesign

According to seller feedback, the previous analytics dashboard was limited in the data it showed. It was not clear if a seller's inventory was performant, trending, likely to sell, stale, or in need of any optimizations. In an effort to guide sellers to taking action, we redesigned the analytics dashboards to provide more data and insights, contextualized to encourage action.

A New Way to Advertise on 1stDibs

Sellers have historically used a fixed rate to boost their listing visibility on site. We introduced a new Ad budget/CPC model to modernize advertising for sellers. This project involved creating a new advertising dashboard as well as providing education for existing sellers during this transition.

New Seller Onboarding Experience

Before this project, most sellers onboarded manually with a partner manager - a process that could take weeks, even months. We designed a new, automated seller onboarding experience to help sellers get online faster, accelerating account go-live time 2 weeks to 2 days.

Giving Sellers More Control Over Their Shipping Rates

Historically listings were automatically assigned an estimated shipping quote based on their item dimensions. When these estimations were incorrect, the listing might have a higher than normal shipping rate which could deter a potential buyer. We developed a tool that gives sellers more control in setting their own shipping quotes while still providing guidance on estimations. As a fast follow, we also gave sellers the ability to purchase their own shipping labels based on their preferred carrier.
