How I work

The way I work is constantly evolving. Here are some of the things I've been using to help create great designs.

AI assisted design

Claude has been a great design partner for my work. Things I've found useful are PRD interrogation, quickly spinning up interactive vercel prototypes, and lately I've been exploring using paper and magic patterns to help come up with wide divergent directions quickly.

Talking to people

Whether behind an espresso counter or a usability test, getting to know people is one of my favorite things to do. I love trying to figure out who a person is, where they come from, and anticipate what they might want in order to deliver better product experiences (or just to be a better friend!).

AI assisted development

My design work often ends up in the codebase. I've contributed design system PRs, built interactive prototypes in React and Next.js, and find that working directly in code helps me ship details that wouldn't survive a handoff. Being able to prototype in the real medium changes what's possible in a design review — and has made me a much better collaborator with engineering.
